Update 42: Week of 23 Sep
Writing about gods, dragons, space mermaids, AIs, and more. Always with queer characters and with some art on the side.
It has been a really busy past few weeks with everything imagined. As in - I’ve been busy imagining and thinking about things rather than actually doing them or anything productive, really. I mean, I know my days are busy but I can’t really tell you with what to narrow it down 😅
But, I’m gonna try for my own sanity and so I feel more productive: I’ve been working on new effects for map stuff, creating new actions for cover designs and fonts, typesetting some old non-fiction writing for publication, created an author logo (gonna test it for a bit first) and… cleaning? Yeah, let’s call it cleaning as I organize my desk, shelves, and head 😁
And I did an interview-thingy!! I went on A Book and a Beverage with Mike and Ro from Bald & Balding along with another author (Joel Glover). It was live this past Tuesday on YouTube and it was quite fun. It got me talking more about GoD than the others, so I’m gonna see if I can finish this arc this year.
However…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The 25th of September was officially the first birthday for Soultaming the Serpent, along with a bunch of other books that participated in the Derby (and pubbed on the same date). However, I’m going to focus on four other specific books and that you’ve heard me rant about before (because they are awesome).
And now is your chance to get all five of these amazing books as paperbacks to add them to your shelves!
Writing update
I will not feel guilty for not having written anything! I will not. I WILL NOT!
I am taking a mental break and preparing myself for some heavy work. On that note, beta feedback for the first book in my sci-fi duology should be coming in soon, and I am really looking forward to going through that so I can both edit it for a final version and take major feedback in for when I prepare book 2 for beta readers. (If you’re a fast reader and interested, last-minute beta sign ups are still open here. I’d love to get feedback by mid-October at the latest!)
But one thing I did do - I created a very rough timeline for my goals for the 3V3 universe so far. Because yes, the duology won’t be the only writing in this universe. I won’t share the timeline itself here, since that will change for sure, but I will share a few special notes about that.
Do a Kickstarter for this book closer to the end of 2025
Publish either Dec 2025 or Jan 2026 (duology as an omni including shorts)
Outline three additional books: The Cutoff, First Angel, and Pandemonium
Outline two current short story ideas: Haven and Evelyn

Look at how proper she looks! As if she listens and pays attention!! We’re going to ignore how huge her pupils are and the fact that she attacked my phone string moments after I took this photo! She’s an ANGEL!
